One of the most unexpected realizations for me has been that the twisting and turning of life has not been as random as it may sometimes seem. God continues to orchestrate my life in a way that each day and experience adds insight to the next.
I came to Christ at an early age and sought to implement my faith into every aspect of my life. My mission was to show Christ in all the various activities that I was involved in. I developed a love for sports early and continued to play football and baseball at Belton High School. After I graduated high school in 2002 I continued my education and baseball career at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor where I graduated from in 2007.
Life after college began as an assistant baseball coach at Southwestern University. During that time I began to learn what it means to be faithful in all we do as I sought to do more than coach young men, I wanted to mentor them in the faith. After five years at Southwestern I was given the opportunity to coach with my dad and brother at my Alma mater, UMHB. God continued to call me to seek to have an impact on the lives of college students through Bible studies, mentorship, and speaking. After two seasons I left coaching to enter ministry and spent nearly two years as the pastor at First Baptist Church of Bartlett, TX. During this time I learned much about ministry and began to feel called to use how God had molded me through my time with college students and in ministry to come back to the Temple/Belton area to begin to minister to college students and young adults/young families.
